'Little Boy'.
Ultramarine blue.
Reactive color.
Linen, 2.2 m x 1m

'Little Boy' was the name of the atomic bomb dropped in Hiroshima in 1945.
I designed a repeat-pattern for textiles that appears to be for a little boy at first glance - but at a closer
look, images of war can be seen. Because of its war content this design is for grown-ups; its title remaining
'Little Boy' a tragic and ironic bomb.

The choice of linen as a material and the ultramarine blue are inspired by the fabrics traditionally used
in Japan to cover saké kegs.

The print is to be used in small quantities (for instance, on wooden chair seats or to cover books).
